Character Days: Linda Davenport from No Stone Unturned and No Good Deed
I'm from Detroit originally but moved to southern California for a job that failed to come through. While flying to Los Angeles I met a woman returning home from vacation and we hit it off immediately. She was a probation officer in Orange County. A few days after we met she was killed in an auto accident which her brother believed was not an accident. I became a probation officer and was able to investigate what really happened.
Lets jump right in, what's your most closely guarded secret?
I solved the myster of my friend's death without letting anyone at probation know that I had known her.
Tell us about your single most important memory. What was it and how does it affect you now?
My father taking me to the library when I was very young and being able to check out books. It began my love of reading.
What type of person are you? Are you a hero or do you shy away from conflict?
Perhaps a bit of both.
Do you have any hobbies, any special talents?
I've played tennis.
What sets you out from the crowd? Like your talents, would I be able to spot you if I passed you by?
Probably not.
What's an ideal day for you?
A walk on the beach with my fiance followed by a nice dinner back at my house.
Do you have any one close? Any friends or family of interest?
My mother is in Michigan but I have close friends here in California, including my fiance, the love of my life.
What about your most prized possession?
My beautiful engagement ring.
Back to your story, what initially spurred your actions? Everything had to start somewhere, so where's your beginning?
I came to California for new beginnings, as I had been a bored school teacher in Michigan.
Where do you think your future will lead?
Continue my career in probation with possible promotions, a happy marriage, and children. I guess I want it all.
Where can we find more about you?
"No Stone Unturned" and "No Good Deed"
